Alternative terminology makes CISM more descriptive for the United Nations
The United Nations recently accepted Critical Incident Stress Management as an official protocol for addressing the victims of emotional trauma. In this 3-part video, Dr. Jeff Mitchell explains the process, and, more importantly, the descriptive changes that were required as part of the acceptance process. Dr. Mitchell confirms that the traditional terms used to describe CISM are still being used; but then elaborates on the new terms that will be applied with UN activities.
